The staff at the hotel are professional and simply dedicated to their guests from all over the world, from Denmark to the United States of America. The most delicious Italian wines and the best Marsali espresso coffee are served here. Breakfast at the hotel is buffet style. From Italian savory to the most delicious sweet specialties. Bartender Giovanni Lo Cascio is professional and diligent, he was at our service every second. Ms. Daniella from reception is really nice and professional. The outdoor swimming pool in particular adorns the oasis of the old Palace Hotel. The water is warm and clean. At the pool there is a beautiful garden for aperitif services and a restaurant (food and meals). Be sure to try Gambere and a sandwich with tuna, salad and a special tomato. A white wine that smells like fresh lemon perfume, it's great. The service inside the hotel goes to the signature for the room. So everything is made easy for you. You don't have to carry personal documents and money, or bank cards and wonder if you'll ever lose them. Room are amazing and luxury. We will come back to this wonderful hotel again. Marsala is a historical place that you will enjoy to the maximum. You can visit the Marakaibo beach with an agreement at the hotel reception, which will organize a transfer for you within 15 minutes from and to the hotel with a 30% discount on sunbeds and umbrellas. The breakfast was good - great range of sweet and savoury food. The juice was the only thing that wasn't brilliant - very synthetic tasting. The room was spacious with really comfy beds. We asked for all 5 rooms to be close if possible and we were all next to each other which made it so much easier - especially having children sharing in rooms next to parents. The pool was WONDERFUL! Large and warm and great diving board. Plenty of space in the sun and shade around and felt we had 5 star service when the ice-cream cart came pool side and someone took orders for drinks and brought them to us. This felt like a very adult environment which can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable when travelling with children but they were welcomed and we all felt very comfortable.

The hotel is a bit like a throwback to a bygone time, but it works. Service (pool) can be a little slow, but it's still provided and with friendly staff. The air con works brilliantly (which was needed in the inferno heat we had!) and our room was a great size and comfortable. Shower could do with an update. The best thing about this hotel though is the pool, it's massive and has a diving board for endless fun. There is lots of shade for those not wanting the sun. The restaurant isn't used by guests for anything other than breakfast which seems a shame, but there are lots of wonderful restaurants in Marsala. Hotel is located just near the old town, is walkable or there is car park 5 mins away.

Excellent pool, breakfast was OK, staff were really helpful and gave us some great tips for Marsala and the surrounding area. Florio Cantina next door had an excellent marsala tasting tour. Grand Palace Hotel is a great base for exploring the West of Sicily - we thought that we needed to drive to Trapani to visit the Egadi Islands but the ferry to Favignana goes from 900 metres away. A wonderful day cycling and swimming on the island

Breakfast although more suited to the Italian taste was okay for us with fresh fruit available and eggs to order. The swimming pool was great for a swimmer and as a bonus had a diving board. The service was very good with everyone being polite and extremely helpful.
